Whiten your smile from the inside out with ENAMEL REPLACEMENTS.

As I aged, I noticed that the enamel of my teeth was fracturing. Not only did this affect the appearance of my teeth, but also weakened their strength. I finally decided to do something about it and made an appointment with Dr. Loveless. He explained how Lumineers would address the condition of my weakened enamel and improve my smile.

Once placed, the Lumineers gave me my 16-year-old smile back! I receive many comments on the beauty of my smile. I no longer worry about fracturing the enamel of my teeth. I have also learned that you tend to smile when you know you have a beautiful smile. I am amazed at how wonderful it feels when others smile back at me!

An enamel replacement is similar to a filling and is used within the cusp tips of a tooth, which are the pointed or rounded projection on the chewing surface. It can also be used for substantial reconstruction, extending out over one or more of the cusps of the tooth. It helps build up the weakened, cracked, broken or worn tooth structure back into its original shape, form and strength.

More conservative than a crown, enamel replacements are a method of restoring normal tooth structure after decay or other damage.

Traditional fillings can reduce the strength of a natural tooth by up to 50 percent. The enamel replacements at BridgeView Dental are custom-made by master ceramists and are bonded onto your tooth structure. These restorations are 95 percent as strong as your own original healthy enamel. Enamel replacements require two appointments.

At your first visit, the filling being replaced or the damaged or decaying area of the tooth is removed, and the tooth is prepared for the enamel replacements. To ensure proper fit and bite, an impression of the tooth is made for our master ceramists to customize these for your teeth. Dr. Loveless will then apply a temporary sealant on the tooth and your next appointment will be reserved.

During your second appointment, the temporary sealant is removed and Dr. Loveless will then make sure that the enamel replacement fits correctly. Once the correct fit is achieved, the enamel replacement is bonded to the tooth with a strong resin and polished to a smooth finish.
